Employee Contact Information Changes - HRT

Hello,

We would like to use Employee Self Service and allow employees to make their own changes to phone numbers and email addresses. But we do not want them to be able to change their work email and work phone number - these are determined by the company and shouldn't be modified by the employee themselves. At the moment, we are looking to see if a security configuration would be our solution.

Does anyone else have this issue, and how have you solved it?

We are in a similar boat. We don't want the work email address changed by employees, so we moved it to the LRCFullEmployeeProfile (next to the employee name) - see below. Admins can update this data, but not employees.

We also built out a validation process where each year, employees are to validate their Personal Contact, Address, Emergency Contact information - ER 99575.

Hi Sheila,

This isn't my ticket but Infor randomly emailed me your response to it. Your last sentence caught my attention - we've been trying to build something for this exact purpose but the tactics we've tried have been clunky. We've created forms as well as Transition Tasks to try to give our employees an easy way to validate their info as an end-of-the-year cleanup but we don't love any of the solutions we've found. May I ask if your method is a form, task, document template, email, etc.? Thank you very much,

We don't use Transition Mgt, or Benefits so we had to build this out on the Personal Information space. This is the jist of what we implemented. So each section: Personal Contacts, Emergency Contacts and Addresses has a custom Validated button. The employee is to click the Validated button or update/delete old information. We'll wipe out the Validated button in the fall and repeat the Validation process.
