CO FAMLI leave change in taxable wages effective Janaury 1 2024

Has anyone determined how to get the CO FAMLI leave deductions to be taxable on all gross wages versus the same as Social and Medicare wages? We tested BSI bulletin 132 and it did not change the wages. I called CO to confirm, and it is supposed to be calculated on the gross without reduction of pretax reductions.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Andrea, I have a ticket open with Infor. Yesterday they provided this update:

Support has attached our testing which duplicated your issue. We have also linked KB 1188192 - Taxable wages are not being reduced by certain tax status' (06, 07, 10, 11) defined on PR05. The KB details the BSI Taxability Report. There is a section that states the following--

If the value under the EMPLOYEE LIMIT says UNLIMITED, it reduces the taxable wages by the deduction amount. If it has 0.00, it will do nothing to taxable wages. If it lists a dollar amount, it will reduce taxable wages up to that particular amount.

The employee limit value for 2023 was 7750, 2024 employee limit value is 8300. This means that HSA will reduce CO Family Leave taxable wages up to 8300.

So are you saying that your CO famli leave wages are total gross? That is what I am looking for with this update. Do you have overrides in BSI with regards to the HSA deductions.

Thank you for this - we have all our pretax benefits set up as 06 - Section 125 so we changed them to the corresponding codes and that is working. The only one that is not working is our Medical Flex Spending Account, there is no separate code for those and after meeting with BSI today they do not maintain that one. so i need to reach out to CO FAMLI to have them submit the changes so that BSI can make the change. I will be calling them tomorrow
