Sales Releases

Hi Community,
I putting this question to you for anyone who could provide some feedback (as I feel like I'm getting nowhere with guidance from Infor)....
We are relatively new to LN (CloudSuite Automotive), 9 months since go live.
For sales side, we were advised strongly to use Sales Releases.
We have yet to setup Automotive Exchange to bring in EDI capability, but this will not be possible with many customers, who we will need to manage schedule/demand manually.
The issue we have in the most simplest terms I can describe:
We create a Sales Release, within that release is a schedule of various quantities and dates
We process the schedule, ship product, invoice etc.
When we get another requirement (or update) from customer, we go back to Sales Release, duplicate it (creating a new revision).
But all the lines we have already shipped are still there, then our sales team have to manually analyse, delete line we have shipped and add/change the remaining.
As you can imagine, a cause for much frustration and prone to error....
We are based in Birmingham UK, if anyone can give advise I would really appreciate it.

Hi, Just wondering prior to when you went live on LN was Infor set up to do what you want it to do as you described? We are still learning Infor without much formal training. Reports aren't that great. But we will keep plodding along

To be honest a few areas were poorly implemented or last minute rush before go live (this and planning area most impacted).
We 'keep plodding along' is a great way of describing. We are learning new things (often by our own time trialing/testing) every day...

No worries, actually a little comfort knowing we aren't the only ones ;-)

We have 1 month since going live you have 9 months so may pick your brains as well

So the lines that have already shipped are still flowing over to LN to ship? I would look into CUMs. And whether or not you are using CUMS to balance your requirements. In your *** adjustment rules.

You could also look at your requirement consolidation rules.
