Microsoft Dev Stack on M3/ION APis

I'm primarily a Microsoft developer new to Infor Cloudsuite and looking into the mobile / web space for M3 development.

While I'll most likely end up in the AWS / CS side of the tooling, I like the look and feel in the Microsoft space as well as the dev environment.

The impression I get is that most of development in this space is H5 / Mongoose / Go, but that in reality these are all API calls anyway under the covers.

Is anyone doing anything in Microsoft tooling (Blazor / MAUI etc) using OAUTH2 / straight API calls ?

Hello,

It depends on what you're trying to do. Traditionaly, we wanted ourusers to stay in the M3 environment, so we develop with the Infor tools. But if it's OK for you to have a second environment, or if you want to develop something with a lot of logic or with a lot of calls to other tools, it's simpler and quicker to develop outside, using API.

It's more a political question than a technical one .

<gulp> Wondered if it might be - I find the UI a little sparse in M3 in the cloud as well, most likely because I've been mostly a WinForms guy and am now doing some web stuff. Thanks for the input :-)

Look at Mongoose, it has a lot of functionality, and you can code in VB or C# to enhance on the functionality as needed.
AND it is internal to ION.
