How to publish (load) a BOD from LN Studio to ION

Hi,

We are trying to create a customize BOD in LN Studio, through an interface.

1. Interface project

2. Interface definition (Noun and verbs)

3. Interface implementation (Attributes and methods)

After all of that, we generate and is available in LN ttadv7500m000:

We tried to publish the BOD to ION through a large number of standard sessions, in order to use it... but we were unsuccessful.

If there's something we're doing wrong, or if there's a process missing that isn't clear to us. The available documentation is super confusing and not clear at all.

Please check tcbod0100m000 to see if bod publishing is active for that company, also check bobod1100m000, see help: docs.infor.com/.../default.html

In LN there is no standard session that will publish custom BOD. Standard sessions were created to publish standard BODs and standard sessions are used primarily for starting initial load for other applications. If you want to publish custom BOD from LN, you will have to either create your own session, extend existing session or create business logic in DAL that will execute certain method when conditions are met (for example, record was saved, new record was created, status has changed, etc.). Certain method in this case probably could be publish.BOD (or BOD.publish, not sure) which is public interface described in Extensions developer guide for LN.

Initial load of custom BODs is also supported. There is a specific session for it: tcbod0299m000. Before you can use this session, you need to implement the process extension BOD.PublishCustomBOD. Refer to the Public Interfaces and Process Extensions Reference Guide for more information (either docs.infor.com or KB 2003722).

Hello, I tried with the standard session tcbod0299m000 implementing the process, I managed to attach the customized BOD "txcur Paises BOD"

In process BOD.PublishCustomBOD:
tcext.bod0001.get.custom.bodnames

tcext.bod0001.get.initial.load.query

But when I try to plublish, I got this error:

Hi Edwin,

The problem for the fatal error is likely with the variable declaration of 'string sql.query.1', which without a provided length, e.g., 'string sql.query.1(1000)', will just allocate 1 character. The resulting query is currently just "s".

Probably works, but I am surprised that you had to use 'str$()' for the form fields. If the form fields were using the right domain (of txcur020.cpai), then it would not be required.

Another remark, the BODs names normally just end with one 'BOD' and not 'BODBOD'. This might be a problem in the naming of the BOD itself.
