How do you manage requests for Lawson Access

How are companies managing access provisioning for Lawson requisitioning and MSCM?

We currently are using a self-service access request system and are finding that it’s causing some pain points. 

We are interested to hear how other organizations are managing access request intake and how roles/groups/cost centers are determined?

How many resources are assigned to this task?

We use a custom process through ServiceNow (Computer Access Request Form: CARF). The initial request goes to our Lawson security team and they route the provisioning to all appropriate areas (Finance, HR, Supply Chain) by assigning a task. Materials managers that submit the CARF attach a Lawson Inventory Control Access Form to the CARF letting us know what MSCM access/security level the new user needs. We notify the security team of the appropriate security roles to assign and complete the Requester and MSCM set up.

For operating departments, they attach a Lawson Requester form to the CARF letting us know which AUs/Cost Centers the new employee should have access to. 

We are some of this goes away in FSM and security can be tied to a job code.
