About a month ago, there was a network change which has been fixed. We have sporadic Oracle connect errors. The 2 errors we see are:
ORA-03114 not connected to ORACLE
ORA-03135 connection lost contact
The errors are sporadic. The most common programs are payroll and leave accrual processes. There are other processes which run daily which fail periodically such as AC190, AC410, and AP520. Our network team suggested that we reinstall the Oracle client even though our logs suggest that the response it fails when the traffic is going to a firewall which our DB does not have access. The thought is that the Oracle client is corrupted. What is the process to reinstall the client?
