Adding customer order header or line notes using REST and IDO SLObjectNotes

I'm using the CloudSuite REST services to create customer orders. Order headers and order lines are creating ok, but now I'm trying to add customer order header and line notes by inserting records to the SLObjectNotes IDO.

I'm populating the following properties:

"InWorkflow"
"RefRowPointer"
"NhObjectName"
"NoteHeaderToken"
"DerDesc"
"DerContent"
"DerOrigin"
"DerType"
"NhNoteFlag"
"NoteExistsFlag"
"NoteType"
"SpcnNoteDesc"
"SpcnNoteContent"

That results in this cryptic error message. Any idea what that means?

Error Message does not exist. Object:CK_ObjectNotes, Type:17

The error is likely a missing foreign key, they don't always have proper error messages, maybe the NoteHeaderToken doesn't exist? What I would do is create a simple grid form in SyteLine using the SLObjectNotes as the data source and then find Customer Order header notes which will show what data is needed from the api.

Thank you. You got me a bit further down this road. Does it sound right that I would need to first make a REST call to create my 'SpecificNotes' IDO records and then follow that up with call to create the 'SLObjectNotes' IDO records?

I looked for IDO method call to create a note and assign it to a customer order header or order line, but didn't see anything. Seems very odd to me that I have to make several separate calls to REST interfaces to create a customer order (SLCos, SLCoitems, SpecificNotes and then SLObjectNotes). I don't see any way to accomplish this with a single call (to do it in a single transaction). The way I'm doing it now could leave a bunch of half way created records hanging if things fail between REST calls.

The following ended up working.

1) When adding the SLCos and SLCoitems records get/save the RowPointer ids (they will be needed for the SLObjectNotes)

2) Add the SpecificNotes records and get/save the SpecificNoteToken ids (they will be needed for the SLObjectNotes)

3) Add the SLObjectNotes.
