Word Add in - how to display only distinct values

Hi , 

I'm working with word add in to create CRS676PF template.  In CMS008 I linked all records from MITLOC to display all stock location for specific item. 
We might have more than one stock balance for one item so printout result in list of all balances. Is there any way I can read only distinct values ? 

I tired to use XPath value but looks like this function is not supported. 

distinct-values( /M3OutDocument/DataArea/Document/Subdocument/Lines/Line/CustomLines)

Problem is that the word add in for IDM is using Xpath 1.0 which has limited functionality compared to xpath 2.0 or 3.0. I believe to achive what you want here, you should look into using the "preceding- function". Something like //*[not(. = preceding::*)]

Unfortunately, I don't have any examples for this as I use other Output Management Systems which supports Xpath 3.0 if my customers have this kind of requests.
