Has everyone found ways to control the input and validation of all of your effective date entry and validation requirements? I'm very curious what other types of needs this community of experts has faced.For example, in this post the requirement is "effective dates can only be Sundays": (26) LPL - Possible to Restrict Date by Weekday (Sunday/Monday/Tuesday) - LSF/Landmark Development - Infor - Developers Community - Infor Community
I've also see "cannot be more than 8 months old" and working around various payroll dates.

A helpful one might be limiting to the first day of the pay period - using the pay period begin date in a select list (ex. for biweekly pays).
Can pay period begin date vary by employee or some selection by some grouping? Maybe not in your case, but just in general out there in the world.
In general, out there in the world, yes, they can. They do for our organization (which currently still has payroll running for the US & Canada on prem on Lawson v10 since GHR Payroll support for Canada has been stuck at "coming in the next ~12-18 months" for several years now).
For historic reasons I don't fully understand we pay our hourly employees in the pacific northwest weekly, whereas salaried employees there, and all the rest of the US and Canada are paid bi-weekly.
Internationally some countries we do business in (the UK for example) their local norm is a monthly payroll so that's what we do there (using non-Infor solutions).
