*Reminder* upcoming VMNEUG Q2 2024 meeting on Thursday, June 13th 2024! This time around, we're switching things up and thanks to our gracious host and VMNEUG member company E.A. Dion, they'll be providing us with an afternoon reception and plant tour of their facility in Attleboro, MA, showing us their operations as well as how Visual helps their day-to-day business!
Our morning events will take place at the North Attleboro Elks Lodge 1011, and thanks to this meeting's sponsors WM-Synergy and Lillyworks, registration is FREE for this meeting's events, including coffee / snacks and lunch! You can find our agenda and registration for this meeting HERE! We ask that everyone attending PLEASE pre-register well in advance if possible to help us ensure we have plenty of food and beverages to go around
In the morning, Alan will host open Q&A and Erik will review Group Enhancement Requests as we usually do, followed by a joint presentation between Melissa Carvalho of E.A. Dion and Nichole Ash & Katie Farrand of WM Synergy: Taking A Fresh Look Brings Rewards – Custom Application Review through Process Mapping. Most of our longtime members who moved to Infor Visual Manufacturing over the years had to start SOMEWHERE, and often that included fundamentals such as lean manufacturing, process mapping / analysis, setting quality / measurable objectives and working towards ISO compliance / certification. Others may have come into companies that have already done it in the past, but those standards may have fallen out of practice due to changing priorities, personnel changes and stagnant corporate culture. It's NEVER TOO LATE to re-examine your processes to find out what's working and what's not (and why!).
After lunch, returning presenter Mark Lilly of meeting sponsor Lillyworks will be joining us with a Comparative Review of Material Planning and Production Scheduling Methods and Techniques. Visual and other ERP systems all have many different methodologies for material planning, controlling inventory and managing material constraints; but which one works best for YOUR company? How easy or complex is each one to train and implement? Can you change from your current methodology? There are always new and improved techniques for managing the complexity of supply and demand, but understanding and taking advantage of the fundamentals of the system, with a little care and feeding, is key for any implementation.
Finally, our last event will take place at VMNEUG member E.A. Dion's facility for a tour of their plant operations, meeting their team and reviewing how Visual helped shape their company's direction! Many other VMUGs have had success with site visits over the years, and we're excited to offer this event to help showcase our members' challenges and successes!
We hope you can join us for this FREE event to lunch-and-learn with other consultants, professionals and Visual specialists and expand our network of users!
