Lawson Version 10 EMSS

We are installing Lawson Version 10 and have a question about external access for employee self service. We are hearing that this is not as easy as it used to be with Portal. Has anyone done this with version 10 yet, thru mingle?

I had posed this question to our account rep, who passed on this answer from a technical person at Lawson...not sure how easy this is..we are just starting our upgrade to 10...
If you want to house an EMSS application within Ming.le and then have that exposed to the Internet I would suggest just placing the web server or Microsoft Forefront Unified Access Gateway (or some similar appliance) in the DMZ to authenticate users which would then point to the internal SharePoint server deployment for access to Ming.le and the associated applications.

Our company uses UAG (unified access gateway) for our employees to access ESS outside of the office. It has been working fine with LSF10 and Mingle.

The MO/KS usergroup just had a virtual meeting where the first presenter was from Infor and announced that they now are selling (since Oct 14) solutions for Internet facing applications - i.e. secure access without needing a VPN.

The products supported, according to the slide, were LSF 9.0.1.13 and up, 10.0.5.0 and up, Portal 9.0.1.13 and up, Ming.le 10.0.5.0 and up, and EMSS 10.0.5.16 (* which supports LSF 9 and 10 apps *).

We haven't had a chance to look into it, but you might want to ask specificly about that with your Infor Consulting Services contact.
