IDO definition missing RowPointer property bound to primary base table

Hi everyone,

I have created IDO with primary table "Forms".

When I am trying to add new record with API call "/update/{ido}" I get this error message: "CUS_Forms IDO definition missing RowPointer property bound to primary base table."

Is it even possible to add/update records in IDO based on Forms table in Cloud Mongoose?

I have an IDO already on that table, SLForms. When you created the IDO did you not map in all the columns, or what is the need to create an IDO around the Forms table?

Hi Stephen,

When I created IDO, I just selected primary table and Mongoose added all the properties itself.

I checked SQL table Forms, there is no RowPointer field.

That SLForms IDO, is it standard one or you created it?

It's a standard one, but after closer examination it's not based on the table you're looking for. If you are using the actual Forms table from the Forms database it does not follow the standard definition for an IDO.

What are you trying to accomplish exactly?

I am trying to automate deployment Mongoose objects (forms, scripts, etc.) from DEV to TST, and other environments.

Based on what you are attempting I will say that manipulating any of the core object tables is not a recommended practice. If you corrupt the forms database it can have catastrophic consequences that can disrupt your business system. I would suggest that you look at the Deployments form or Formsync to transport dev/test projects safely to production.

Thanks for feedback.

We are looking for a way to check in the changed objects to a version control system.

I was thinking about another way to automate the process.

Using IDO methods via API "/invoke/{ido}".

Kind of emulation of what Form "Deployment" does.

For example instead of exporting via Form

using API and IDO Deployment Method CreateScripts3 (or some other methods)

Is there a documentation for IDO methods?
