Run Time for Exports and ISD

Hello,

I wanted to let this community know that I submitted ER 109525 regarding the run times of Infor exports and ISDs.  

ER 109525:

Report export times are quite lengthy. For example, I exported our active resource roster (not Infor delivered) that contains 20,547 rows and 50 columns of data. To export the 'MyReport' it took 1 hour, 43 minutes and 17 seconds. When I tried to export the same list using ISD it took 38 hours and 57 minutes. We also have our active resource roster built in PowerBI and the export only took 24 seconds. I also noticed that our EEO-1 reporting this year took 31 minutes and 29 seconds to finish. Is there a way to speed up the run time of that report? I also wanted to add that we did meet with Infor about a year ago to review the filtering logic on the active roster. We ended up updated the LPL and it still takes a long time to export.

We have an internal resource that is currently looking into this issue and if they find anything I will share it with this community.

The time typically comes down to the one-to-one lookups, DerivedField logic, UserField usage which all equate to time per field times the number of rows.

Also it can also be the security evaluation for inquire access for row level + field security eval.

Would you mind emailing or somehow sharing your report columns?  Not the data, but just the empty excel shell.  I'm curious for other reporting enhancement ideas that are actively being looked at right now. Do you have a handful of other reports/data that you move into Power BI?
