code examples for using ION API in CSD?

I am new to using the SDK and working with widgets. I've done context apps before but now it seems we have to transition to using widgets. I'm taking it one step at a time, and the first step is to get connected to some ION API's. But all the examples are all for the M3 API's, which seem to be vastly different than the CSD/SX.e API's. It's really hard to follow the M3 examples because there are references to terms I am unfamiliar with. Has anyone here used the SDK to make widgets for CSD/SX.e, and if so can you point me toward some code examples for using the API's? Or perhaps at the very least, other ION API's like IDM, or Data Fabric? Something other than M3, since I don't have access to any of the documentation for M3 API's so that I can figure out what the examples are doing? Thanks!

Have you checked out KB1887404? They have a very old attachment that contains Source Code for the old Customer Service Widgets and others. We used these for Widgets back in the day, but have since moved to a somewhat different format for the Portal V2 Widgets. We have built a couple for some customers and vendors. Also, have you looked at App Designer and/or Mongoose?

Thanks Brandon. The widgets in the KB helped me figure some things out. I have tried the App Designer but it is way too limited for what I need. I was going to try working with Mongoose but I figured if I was going to learn a whole new framework and language, I might as well just go straight to the SDK and learn to code these in TS. So far I have a couple new widgets that are working out nicely. Steep learning curve.
