Affordable Care Act Compliance
unknown
I am soliciting information from Lawson S3 customers to find out if anyone is outsourcing the ACA compliance to an outside vendor including printing of the required 1095 forms.
We are waiting for the Infor bulletin release for ACA that is due out in Sept, but since this impacts other projects of ours for this year, we're not sure we should wait and apply/test the bulletin and should instead consider outsourcing the ACA process and forms.
We are concerned what ramifications that will cause for future years and curious what others are doing?

We will be using UnifyHR, we demoed several different vendors that offered the same type of service and we found that UnifyHR not only had a very user friendly system but the cost was reasonable. It also included printing and sending out the 1095 forms.

We are relying on the BN297 being developed by Infor, which will produce both the output file necessary to generate the paper 1095 forms and the output file to be uploaded to the IRS. The fix for the form generation file is supposed to be released next month, which we too hope will be enough time to apply it & test it before the actual forms need to be produced. Our understanding is that the upload file will be generated in the necessary IRS-required format and should be able to be uploaded "as-is", without further manipulation and that is why the fix for that will not be released until year-end downloads come out.
Additionally, we already use MHC software for our checks (payroll and vendor), W-2 & 1099 production. Therefore, we will also be working with MHC to add a new project which will produce/print the 1095 forms through their application. (They'll actually be printed in-house, but through the MHC application, just as is the case with paychecks, W2s & 1099s.)

We are using Hodges-Mace, LLC product line called Gatekeeper. We are trying to extract all of the data they need. They are requesting hours and leave information starting in April 2014 through current. Leave data is are biggest challenge to provide.

If you are not using LP51 you might want to look into it. It looks like all of the historical information would be available here if you use it. I am not sure but I won't be surprised if Lawson builds thier ACA reporting around this form.

When you set up the Safe Harbors, Lawson only allows one code so what do you do when you have different scenarios. Do you just set it up with the best case scenario and hand correct the others? I thought I could choose 2G but that will not work for every employee. Any suggestions?

We use PA52 to capture our leaves. Are others using the Leave module? Am I going to need to start using the module in order to get accurate information for ACA?
