M3 EDI Invoice BOD- INVBODMI SelLines with KIT Items

Has anyone used M3 standard EDI Invoice BOD with KIT items? My issue is that when the order contains kit items, the INVBODMI-SelLines returns only the distribution of the items. This does not work well for me always because for some customers I don't need to send the distribution and I need to send only the KIT item.

Later I found KB from Infor saying that, when a charge is connected to the header, the API will return all lines with the KIT header. However, there can be some orders without charges.

Yes... and it is not working so well.  M3 standard outputs the lines in the API based on the "statistical level" in PDS001. This means that you on the "paper" invoice can output the KIT-header (depending on the parameter in PDS001) but then on the e-invoice only the KIT-components are shown since it is another parameter that controls this... 

For one of our markets we solved it with major customization in the Invoice BOD.(basically replace all components with the KIT-header).. but we would like to find a better solution. We have new markets that are going to start with EDI and I am not sure how we should handle it yet...
