On a candidates profile, we have the option of sending and tracking correspondence from with HCM. However we don't have the same option for sending correspondence/emails to resources. We would like to send ad-hoc emails to employees and to retain a copy of that correspondence on their profile. These emails could be free text or we may like to utilize templates as part of this process, the same as per the candidate correspondence functionality.
Business Impact
This would ensure that all correspondence relating to an employee is on their employment record visible to both managers and HR generalists. Having to send and store this information outside of HR talent isn't user friendly, and results in records being lost and no transparency across business units.
Workaround
Sending email outside of HR talent, saving this as a PDF and then uploading under "attachments". Difficult to locate and double handing. Also relies on the sending remembering to upload into HR Talent.
