Looking to see if any one has encountered this error message and how did you handle "State tax field

We have an employee that is out of South Carolina but some how his work state got listed as Maryland, We are unable to change the MD to SC but nothing on the employee record indicates MD. I found something that is very old 2008/2009 that states you need to change the flags on HR00 and HR01 to a 3 to allow this then change it back but wanted to know if there was a more recent fix.

I am not sure about the HR01 changes, but have you checked the state listed on the employee's location? Could that show as MD?

Thank you never thought to check the location code which was supposed to be SC they had MD listed.

With the tax filter set to 1 or 2 on HR00, HR01 or HR11, BSI is controlling the assignment of taxes, and you cannot manually control them. That is why you get the message that you cannot change them when you manually try on PR13.1.

TaxLocator determines taxation for an employee based on the live (HR11-home/supp address) and work (HR11-Location) addresses which is a business decision that is made. Caution should be taken when changing the tax filter to 3 as doing so could stop other needed taxation.
