Printing New PO document when PO status is 20

We have 2 scenarios where we would like to reprint a PO document (not a copy)

1. Preliminary PO document for approval

A preliminary PO is printed and sent as PDF to an approver. After approval the same PO is sent to the supplier with a stamp/signature of the approver.

2. Repair PO with Requisition Order

The first PO is sent to the supplier together with the item to be repaired (Note that RO gets created when the PO is printed), and the price text is used to request a price.

After approval of the price a new PO is created with stamp/signature of the approver and updated price

Does anyone have the same requirements, and developed a solution?

Here are some General Recommendations:

• Custom Print Logic: M3 offers flexibility through custom scripting or modifications to the output management process. You could create a condition in the printing logic that allows reprinting the same PO without marking it as a copy, based on the status of the PO or an event trigger.

• Workflow Automation in IDM: Automate the process of sending POs for approval, stamping them, and then reprinting with the final signature using workflow capabilities in IDM or ION workflows. These tools can also be used to manage multiple versions of a document.

• Alternative Document Formats: If M3 is marking reprinted POs as "Copy," consider creating an entirely new document type for approved POs. This would allow you to handle the approval process separately while retaining control over the original PO format.

  You need to work more closely with technical team in detailing on how to configure these workflows or customizations in M3.
