Timestamp Not Displaying Local Time

What do I have to do to get a time field to display local time.

I have two derived fields parsing the date & time from a timestamp field.

I loaded some test data to the timestamp field with a timestamp of 2024102512000000.

I expected the two fields to return "October 25, 2024" and "12:00 PM". The time however displaying "8:00AM".

Here's the format used for timestamps in ISD:

dddd, DD MMMM yyyy hh:mm:ss.SS A

Sample:

For one, a timestamp type will always be converted to the user's timezone automatically when displayed in the browser.

If you break up a timestamp to date and time parts it cannot be converted as there isn't enough information with one individual piece.

If you are working with logic on the server side (like a derived field) before you break apart a timestamp (assumed to always be stored in GMT) it needs to be converted first.

What are you needing these derived fields for the date and time parts exactly? Did you know you can just say these things with a timesamp to just get the date or time part from a timestamp?

And when you say "local" time. Does that mean user time zone, or some corporate time zone?

For starters would you happen to know how to format a TimeStamp field type in Spreadsheet Designer to be able to create/import the data in Infor? When I try to import the timestamp data using SSD I get an error that it isn't formatted correctly so I changed the field type from TimeStamp to Alpha on a user business class and loaded it that way formatted w/16 characters.

I have a list on the manager view, SupervisorChart business class and want to be able to use the timestamp field to display when the data was last refreshed (the timestamp field) to the manager/user as time and date.

When I reference the timestamp field in the list title and view as a user, the time is off by 4 hours. It should read "12:41PM", but is displaying as "8:41AM".

That format definitely got me what I needed. I'm still not sure I understand how the time field type works but just referencing the timestamp field using the data imported in that format worked. Thank you for your guidance.
