Curious how others track remote employees who move from one State to another State? We recently had a remote ee move to a State we do not have approved for Payroll purposes.
We created an IPA that will send an email to HR and Payroll for any address changes that occur in a state that we do not do business in. We also have a create report that shows all out of region employees and is distributed to our user's print managers once a week for review.
Although sometimes you cant stop addresses from getting updated/changed it happens. But our HR team is supposed to vent any employees who want to work remotely from a state that we did not do business in but had not yet been approved as a remote state. We currently have 40 of the states approved where 10 are denied. It was hot mess though at first but Like Kristen commented having a report that catches them early is helpful.
