EMSS 10.0.6 10.3 theme - RESOLVED
Legacy Contributor
We just upgraded to EMSS 10.0.6. The theme is set to default 10.3 in the emss_config.xml file
however when I look at the screens they are on the old 9.x theme. Any ideas what might be setting this off?
Thanks,
Nabil

You did an in-place upgrade from 9.x to 10.0.6? As far as I know, that's the place where the theme is set. There is also a theme setting in $WEBDIR/lawson/portal/portalconfig.xml that sets the value to "white" but that's just Portal. And are you calling EMSS pages directly or going through Portal bookmarks?
Infor web UI is notorious for caching documents for 20 years. Remotely possible your browser is using a stylesheet with the same name from v9 and not loading the v10 version. Also, depending on which version of what browser you're using you will get entirely different results. Have you tried to clear your browser's cache and reload Portal from the start?

Hi Nabil,
That is odd. In our 10.0.3 environment, changing that theme is effective immediately without requiring a cache clear or restart (Unix/Websphere)
Just to be sure, you're looking at EMSS pages and not S3 4GL pages, right? This theme will not impact the standard S3 pages. I doubt that's your issue, but I was confused about that initially.
Good Luck!

I have witnessed this many times. Not only do you have to clear browser cache, you have to then go into the temp files and delete everything. We did this for days after our upgrade to 10.0.6

I also created my own emssmenu.html that controls direct links to all EMSS functionality and point a dns entry to it for regular end-users.

Thanks Kelly and all others!
It wasn't cache. Just the consultant who did the install did things out of order and installed an update w/o the base file. Once I reverted it back and reapplied it, it was all good.

Wow...good catch. Those are hard to find. I'm glad you figured it out.
