HIRE DATE CHANGE

We have an instance where we need to change a hire date from 8/20/2014 back to 8/9/2014 due to a VISA date issue. I know processes we have done in the past, which history correction is always difficult.

Just curious how others handle this type of change to assure the postion records, benefits and time acrrual all get corrected.

Any information is appreciated!

We correct the hire dates using PA52. If the new hire date is earlier than the original, we also update PA13.2 by inserting a new row effective the earlier hire date.

Do you use a hire date correction action on the PA52 or a reversal?

We load new hires using HR511 populated by a feed from our Applicant Tracking System, so reversal isn't an option.

If we know befor the employee is loaded to HR11, we update the ATS.

If after the applicant is loaded, we use an action on PA52. We created teh action to only change the hire dates.

If prior to actual start date, the BN processes will load with the new hire date.
