BSI v10 using HSA (Health Savings Account) and employees aged 55+
unknown
We've recently upgraded and are testing BSI v10.d. We have a couple employees over age of 55 who are utilizing the Health Savings Account section 125 deduction - therefore their YTD limit is over standard.
We have set up payment overrides to allow the increase in the YTD limit, but the deduction is not being taken.
Is anyone else having any issues with this? or could you share your set up with us?
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Click on the drop down box and select Taxable with YTD limit and see if the deduction happens.

Did you resolve this? This is what I am finding...
We are testing and using the tax types 21 and 20 on the deduction code. The system stopped the contribution appropriately at 6650. I then added it to the OV50 overrides in BSI that we have for our DC plans and instead of stopping it at 7650, it is stopping it at 7750 instead of 7650.
Has anyone else experienced this.

never mind. I had put in 7750 and changed it. It took a very long time for the system to sync.

Okay. I am going crazy. I had it working for a MD resident with the exception of SS, Medicare taxes. I tried to add those and now, it does not work at all again.
Also, does anyone know how long it takes for BSI to sync up with Lawson after changes are made?

Hi Margie, I'm remembering from old cases I'd worked to do a tmmon via LID to restart any programs you're testing that use BSI, i.e. PR80. Notes I found were for message viewer but still apply to any program that's using BSI:
There is a delay between PR80 and the message getting into Tax Factory (could be up to 1/2 hour). If they type "tmmon" from a LID command prompt, then type F8 (Action), A. (Restart Program), type in the Product Line, and then type in PR80 [or whichever program you're testing] for the Program Code. This should send the messages right over to TF Message Viewer.

Or if you prefer a command line alternative to tmmon-
tmcontrol -rp ProdLine PgmCode So, in your example:
tmcontrol -rp ProdLine PR80
The -rp stands for "Restart running Programs"

Hi Margie, Are you setting up all the overrides in BSI for the HSA catchup manually? We have over 4,000 tax codes mapped and this is not a task I am looking forward to.

MMdavis,
I did not see your previous post and just posted a similar question. Did you get any advice or shortcut?
