This will allow users to create more personalized email templates and allow for the use of actual fields. Currently, we can only utilize the text variables which have been provided by Infor. These email templates are used by both GHR and FSM.
Hello Sandy,
In GHR, we have the ability to add other fields to email templates by using {lpl. and the field name and then close with another }. Have you tried this? You might also have to include the business class name prior to the field value if you need to relate to another business class. You can use this in the To, CC, and BCC fields as well. Here is an example of what we put in the CC of our benefit enrollment event emails, {lpl:Employee.NonWorkEmailAddress}.
Hi Rhonda, on your comment about To, CC and BCC... we have opened a support ticket and have not been able to successfully do this. We were told by development that the replacement would not work in the To, CC and BCC fields of email templates. We would love to learn more about how this works for you. Can you please elaborate?
Hi Lindsey,
We've successfully done this in our benefits and health component email templates. If I'm unsure of the field to reference in the CC, or BCC fields I identify the field by creating a report based on the same business class the email template is for. Then I add fields to the report until I find the correct one. The business class and field name must be referenced in the brackets if the field is in a related business class. I've attached a screen shot of the enrollment email template that I mentioned in my first comment.
What module in HRT are you creating the template for?
Rhonda, it is on the Employee Engagement forms- not benefits.
Rhonda! This worked! Thank you for the assistance. Hope to return the favor soon.
