Wondering how other users are handling requests that are missed/not acted on by the approved. We currently have these routed to an admin inbasket after 72 hours. Is anyone doing something similar?
Our approval process runs it up the approval structure if it isn't approved at a lower level. If it doesn't get approved at the top level, it is unreleased and sent back to the requester.
Ours are similar to previous answer. Request goes to department manager for approval. If no action after 5 days, it escalates to department director and process repeats on up through the approval structure. If at some point there is a missing resource in the structure, it goes to an admin to evaluate the issue.
