We have a customer that initially places one blanket order, let’s say for 10,000 units. Once manufacturing is complete they start sending us releases (pick tickets) for drop-ships to multiple locations all over the country, let’s say it’s Starbucks. It could be 3 per day or it could be 1,000 of drop-ships per day. Since they want us to invoice them per drop-ship, we need to enter each drop-ship as a separate customer order. The info comes in via e-mail with an Excel spread sheet attached.
Has anybody implemented the data import solution to grab the info from Excel spread sheet (csv) and dump it directly into appropriate tables in the Oracle database? Whether it's by using an Excel or the Access or anything else readily available.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
