Email Notification on Position Creation

Our payroll department has expressed interest in receiving an email notification whenever a new position is created in our system. While exploring options, I would prefer to achieve this functionality using LPL over IPA.

I am curious if it’s possible to configure an action within the Create Position workflow to trigger an email notification. If so:

• Could you please share insights or examples on how to set up the action configuration?
• Are there specific limitations or considerations when using LPL for this purpose?
• Would additional steps or components, such as custom fields or triggers, be required to make this work effectively?

I'd start by looking into an Exit Rule in an action configuration that uses "send email" LPL.

E.g.

send email
    to FinalTo
    from FinalFrom
    cc FinalCC
    bcc FinalBCC
    subject "<FinalSubject>"
    Contents
    "<FinalBody>"

The to and from, etc are variables available to the action. If hard-coded your use to "someone@somewhere.com"

send email should be in the LPL developer guide.
