As part of the recent December update, many customers expressed surprise to notice that certain reports under the Financial Reporting application are no longer available.
In June of 2023, an announcement was made that the following reports were to be decommissioned in December of 2024:
- Balance Sheet
- Trial Balance
- Income Statement
- Financial Report Any Dimension
- Income Statement Analysis
- Budget to Actual
- Finance Dimension 1 Analysis
- Project Analysis
- Project Commitment Analysis
Almost all the above reports had a note pointing the user to the location of the replacement reports in the new Financial Reporting area to allow the user 18 months to explore the new report offerings replacing the retiring report options. Once the user selected the radio button prior to launching the report, a notice was displayed with a link to the dashboard for the new reporting option.
The following reports did not have a replacement as they are not considered financial reports but, instead, operational reports as defined in Infor’s Reporting Approach. These reports can be created through the various operational reporting tools such as GL Ad Hoc Report Designer, Account Analysis, Pivot Analysis, Self-Service reports, and the like.
- Finance Report Any Dimension
- Income Statement Analysis
- Finance Dimension 1 Analysis
Additionally, once the user launched a linked report, a note also appeared at the top of the report to, again, notify the user of the plan to remove the report.

A Note About Favorites
Favoriting allows users to save report parameters, settings, preferences, and/or filters for a specific report. The purpose of this feature is not to maintain retired report options. This feature would maintain the saved version of the deprecated report for future use. The intent was to allow users to replicate the same options from the recently deprecated reports to their new report in the new area as directed by the links provided to the second generation of reports. The intent was not to continue to maintain legacy reports. Customers are often frustrated with too many reporting options that serve the same purpose.
Why did Infor do this?
The deprecation was performed to relieve duplicity and to provide all customers with the generation 2 report options that have more features and functions than on the previous generation 1 reports.
The key to remember is that Infor did not remove reports that did not have a viable generation 2 or operational reporting solution. The ask is for customers to become proficient in the use of the new platform on which we can deliver more robust reporting options for our customers while still providing the same basic reporting options they always had while also embracing and leveraging the Infor Reporting Approach.
Next Steps
Now that the deprecation has occurred, customers will need to access the new generation 2 reports. The new reports are located under Financial Reporting but under the first dashboard item.

Here, you can see the list of all the new Generation 2 reports available:

In the short term, the favorites would provide for continued use but as stated above, the desire was for customers to embrace the new reporting solutions with all the added features and benefits therein.
Infor has invested a lot of effort and thought into the approach and are ensuring that our solutions also align with this approach to eliminate confusion and duplicity.
