LPL assistance needed for DirectSupervisor role when this role changes a credential on one of their

Hello,

I am looking for assistance regarding LPL. I am hoping someone might be able to help me in determining if it is possible and if so how would I type it in the lpl. When a DirectSupervisor changes a credential for one of their employees and the credential is checked as validated, since they are making a change we want it to be unchecked. I was thinking I could create some exit rule to uncheck this when they change and save but I cannot figure it out. We do not want the DirectSupervisor to be able to validate and since a change has been made we want it to be unvalidated for our hr team to review. Any guidance would be appreciated.

If the form is unique to the Supervisor (i.e., there is a different form for Admin), then the easiest method might be something like defaulting the checkbox field to false (unselected) and then making the field read only (display as text) or hide it (hidden).

I think this is a Update action versus a Create. So in this case you'd want to use "when value changed" since initial value is for Creates or certain Create request actions.

So whenever a value is changed on this for that should drop the "validated" you would add something like this:

CredentialNumber
when value changed
  VerificationInfo.Verified = false
  VerificationInfo.VerificationDate = blank
  VerificationDate.ValidationMethod = blank

"initialize" might also work in this context:

CredentialNumber
when value changed
initialize VerificationInfo //should clear the whole group field

else:

CredentialNumber
when value changed
initialize VerificationInfo.Verified
  initialize VerificationInfo.VerificationDate
  initialize VerificationDate.ValidationMethod

This should uncheck the box and clear the dates (and presumably save this way).

Now, I think you also want to prevent the manager from simply re-checking the box after you auto-unchecked it for them. Maybe it's ok to just generally make the "Validation Information" section all be display only. That only works if the user of this form can never check/uncheck validated, ever. It that isn't true then you need some condition that when value changed can set to hide/show this section.

All in all, it could be true that exit rules just handle setting this regardless what the form says. E.g.

if (VerificationInfo changed)
initialize VerificationInfo

Appreciate your help, still struggling a bit and hoping you can help. So I kept getting errors when I put info under

CredentialNumber

when value changed
VerificationInfo.Verified = false
VerificationInfo.VerificationDate = blank

VerificationDate.ValidationMethod = blank

I left off the last line about VerificationDate and it did accept it but did not seem to change anything.

I was able to prevent user from checking the validation checkbox by updating this. So that helped I just moved it instead of under CredentialNumber to what is shown below.

VerificationInfo.Verified

when value changed

VerificationInfo.Verified = false

VerificationInfo.VerificationDate = blank

This helped to not allow the user from checking the box but I am also wanting to have it unchecked and every time I try the Exit Rules it keeps erroring. I know this is obviously user error but if you have any help you might be able to bring, that would be helpful. This is my form if that helps. MSSEmployeeCredentialForm.

Appreciate this info, I am trying to uncheck it if it is checked so I am not thinking this would do the trick. Will definitely keep this in mind as I still try and resolve.
