I am looking to see what others have done to solve for a requirement around moving an in process manufacturing order to report against a separate operation. For various reasons in my current solution, users would like to maintain and existing MO that has had partial production reported against it. The original equipment or WorkCentre that is associated to that MO (and sttp) breaks down, and they would like to move production to another WorkCentre without creating a new MO. There are different cost components associated to each of the operations and they are reported automatically method 1
Previously I have done this, we simply added another WorkCentre as an additional operation to the MO, and reported against that operation. operation reporting was manual in that install though and costing across the original and new WorkCentre were the same. I don't think* this method is appropriate as the operation will be reported based on the sttp of the order.
Curious to see if other members have encountered similar requirements, and looking to brainstorm creative ways to solve.
