Widget "Boxes"

Good morning! I reviewed the latest release notes and can't tell if a recent change is related to one of the updates. Anyone else have these random boxes appear with scroll bars on their announcement widgets?

I'm looking on the Designer and I don't see any changes to the editing of the boxes in terms of the size. What am I missing?

Hi, this is exactly the same on our end. I’ve been trying to figure out the reason or a way to change it, but haven’t found one. Could this be a defect?

Maybe - I was trying to figure out if I was the only one or if something changed and the fix was in front of my face, and I was totally missing it. I feel like I've done a lot of tickets lately so thought I'd try my luck here first lol I'll do a ticket here this AM and share what they say

his just happened to us and I just haven't had a chance to create a ticket yet -- I hope they can get rid of that box!!!

Yes these widgets are displaying like this for us, too. We just spent the last two months working with our LMS owners to redesign the learner and manager view...put together a ppt demo deck and this completely changes the experience. I'm really disappointed... I opened a ticket, too.

Awesome! I'm glad it wasn't just me. I'd have to rethink how I design my page too because I update widgets almost weekly.

Keep opening tickets. There are hundreds of issues around the widgets not displaying the information correctly. H1 and H2 tags are small than H3 and H4.

The scroll bar appears too even though the content does not fill the widget.

We have the same issue and I've put in a ticket as well.

We have a pdf document in a widget that took me a lot of time to get to appear in its entirety. Its our learning framework with links to courses, curricula, certifications and social learning and even with scrolling, we can't get to the bottom row.

Hi everyone,

We are sorry to hear about this and we are currently investigating this issue with the utmost priority. I will be investigating to see if there is a possible work around to address this issue in the meantime. If a workaround is found, I will update this thread as well as updating tickets.

Good Morning.

We just wanted to apologize again and provide an update on the Widget spacing and scrolling issues which were reported yesterday.

The LMS development team investigated overnight and confirmed that it was caused by one of the changes made in the February release this past weekend. They advised that the best option is to rollback the change and that they will have a package ready for testing in the next several hours. This package will need to be tested in both the QA and staging environments. Once the fix has been verified by our QA, Support, and CSM team, the next step will be to request an emergency hot fix deployment to production environments.

We will continue to keep you updated as we move through these steps, but this could take a few days. We understand the impact this is having and are working around the clock to get your dashboards back to where they were as soon as possible.

Since we are reverting the changes made to the widgets by the February release, we have reopened the development ticket so that our developers can address the original issue in a future release.

Our sincere apologies for all of this.
