Has anyone been successful suppressing duplicate values in IDM?

We are looking to enhance our Billing Invoice IDM template for a particular department.   Created a derived field that trims out case number from description.  Created a relation to group the case numbers.   Created another derived field for subtotal that sums all the case number grouping extended prices.  

We would like the subtotal to only display once per case.  For example, we only want to see the subtotal once for case number 24-07726, 24-08061 and 24-08268

If you're happy to show the subtotal on the first line (rather than the last), you might be able to use the PRECEDING-SIBLING syntax in the 'hide control' Xpath box.

In my example below, I only want to show the item description on the first instance of MQITNO; if I had a duplicate item, i.e. the Item on the previous record was the same as this row (Case Number for you), hide the description.

./preceding-sibling::*[1]/MQITNO = MQITNO   (replace with your case reference field)

Hope this helps or at least gets you started towards a solution.
