Item Master Data Services

I work for a healthcare system that has historically used GHX's NuVia tool to gather information for the items we plan to build. We were initially approached by GHX to upgrade to their cloud-based Data Connect platform but decided to decline. Since then, we’ve transitioned to Vizient's Data Management Platform. However, we've encountered issues with their data not being fully reviewed before it's uploaded to their catalog.

I’m looking to learn about the services or companies others are using to build and clean their item master and specials on contract. Could you also share the pros and cons of the platform you use?

Hi Brendan,

You should challenge your GPO to provide cleansed data within their own catalog.

I take it you're on CloudSuite FSM?

If so, FSM does have supported/official integrations with two 3rd Party data partners to cleanse Item and Contract Line data after it has landed in FSM:

1. Symmetric Health Solutions. They are a fantastic alternative to GHX NuVia/DataConnect.

2. GHX DataConnect (which is the replacement for Nuvia)

We have a Fact Sheet in FSM Sample Document Templates where you can learn a little bit more about the process within FSM we call "Attribute Update" (ContractLineAttributeUpdate business class | Fact Sheet is called CONTRACTANDITEMATTRIBUTEUPDATE_ST). I believe we also have Integration Guides for both Symmetric and GHX DataConnect in Docs.Infor (https://docs.infor.com/en-us/ifsm/2025.x).

We are on CloudSuite FSM. I have not heard of Symmetric Health Solutions, but will definitely take a look. I appreciate your response!

We have questioned their catalog add and data review process, but we have yet to receive clarification. I'm hoping that will change in the near future.
