We migrated from Lawson to GHR a few months ago. I've just noticed that the field PlanYear in ContributionHistory BC was generating in an odd manner. After submitting a ticket, I learned that it was looking at the overall benefit plan start date. IE, if the benefit plan begin date is 09/01/2023, then any contributions made between 09/01/2023 and 08/31/2024 will show as PlanYear = 2024.
I guess it makes sense, but we have so many plans that we created in Lawson, and we created them with start date of when we actually started the plan, and not necessarily with the plan year in mind (all our plans are based on 01/01, but some started midyear).
The concern is that we somehow accidentally use PlanYear to report on annual contributions, rather than calendar year. I think my solution is to configure any ContributionHistory lists to ensure they only show PayrollYear, rather than PlanYear.
Has anyone had a similar issue? I was thinking of submitting an enhancement report, but I'm not sure I'd get much traction.
