Candidate Locale

Hi all,

I asked beforehand on the language of the Candidate experience and got some workaround for the jobboards itself.

But the Candidate Locale doesn't seem to be fit for purpose?

You can select it for email templates and you can also translate the content for the application tasks but if nothing refers back to the Candidate Locale you cannot use it?

The only option I heard was to change the candidate locale manually for every applicants but with 5 digit applicants with 10+ languages per year this is not an option for us.

Any ideas, suggestions, more workarounds?

Hi Sarah!

We found the exact same issue when we were deploying TA to our Mexico facilities last year. The work-around that was least bad for us was to set the emails to use the Recruiter's IsoLocale, then have them work in Spanish - this is certainly not optimal. We did submit an enhancement request to address:

Dear Karen,

thank you - I already endorsed it a while ago when we discussed it beforehand!

But I didn't get any reaction from others or Infor yet.

It's hard to believe we are the only multilangual companies using this?

As we have countries with several languages e.g. Switzerland, Recruiter Locale is not fully a solution for us unfortunately.

But as Infor has a field "Candidate Locale" there must be another way?
