P32 not showing employment allowance V2.99.03

Does anyone else have this problem? Previously they couldn't claim Employment allowance. Now when ticking claim employment allowance on EPS when you go into P32 is says employment allowance isn't claimed and there's no allowance showing on the P32. I've unticked the override on table 1 and submitted the EPS 3 times. It doesn't come up with any messages or errors

Hi Andrea.
Have you checked the x_EPS.RTI file? It should have a line saying <EmpAllceInd>yes</EmpAllceInd> - it doesn't record any values in this file.
The P32 employment allowance value is not populated automatically, you have to key it in using the Action, Employment Allowance option. The P32 is updated from the values in the payroll calculation and shows how much you are due to pay HMRC, and should be reconciled with the on line account, but it doesn't submit anything to HMRC - it's just a record for the employer.
As long as your RTI file shows that the allowance is being claimed the HMRC should update their system to reduce the amount due by the allowance for the period - ie the whole allowance for the year or the employer's NIC contribution for the period if it is less.

Pretty sure that's right, feel free to correct me anybody if I'm wrong.
