We use a termination action to move an employee into a termination pending status, and then a change relationship to org action to move them from termination pending to termination final after approx 45 days. We submit the two actions at the same time, but with the different effective dates. The actions are submitted by an HR Administrator.
We've come across an issue where, if the initial termination action is submitted prior to the effective date of the term, the subsequent change relationship to org action is clearing out the termination date for that employee:
IE, the termination for John Doe is submitted on 5/1 with an effective date of 5/5, and the change relationship to org action is submitted on 5/1 with an effective date of 6/30. When 6/30 comes around, John is moved into our term final status, but the termination date that was on his profile has been removed.
Frustratingly, after submitting a ticket, I've been told this is working as designed, which I absolutely do not believe. Has anyone else had this issue?
