PR140 re-run flag and report mode

If anyone is running the PR140 with the rerun flag = to yes, would you be willing to share why, when and what the purpose of the the rerun flag is? Also, do you always run the PR140 in report mode first? Our PR140 takes so long to run and we run it in report mode first. We would like to eliminate the report mode and start with update first. The work to errors and the work to correct would still be there, so why not fix then run by individual process levels that had the errors. Seems like this would cut our processing time at least in half.

We always run in update mode with the rerun = Yes. This is one of the few programs that allows you to do that. Others require the rerun to be No on the first run then switched to Yes on subsequent runs.
Anything that saves time while processing should be celebrated

We also always run in update mode with rerun = Yes. We have recently reduced processing time by utilizing processing groups which are set up on HR08.

We always run PR140 in update mode and rerun flag = Yes. If we have errors, we re-run PR140 for that process level in error, then when we have reviewed everything, and fixed pay records, benefit records where appropriate we re-run the PR140 (for all process levels) one last time. We have noticed that the first time the PR140 runs it takes a long time (about 45 minutes), but subsequent runs (all process levels) happen very quickly (about 5-10 minutes).
