This is a very rough, very early concept of the Production Planner hub form that we're in the process of prototyping. Here are some things we have nailed down so far:
- We do plan to include the Background Task information for both the last APS Planning run and the Scheduling run (if they exist).
- We do plan to include the total counts of APS Planning and Scheduling Messages by message type, and then provide links to access the form to view the messages.
- We do plan to show Resource and Resource Group Utilization Analysis via a chart of some form (currently shown as a pie chart).
- We do plan to show Demand Analysis as a grid with links to both the total number of demands for a period as well as the demands projecting late for a period (this is what is currently shown in the concept mockup).
- We do plan to show a graphical representation of Exception messages from the APS Planning Detail form (currently shown as a pie graph, but this is subject to change pending feedback and design review).
- We do intend to show some sort of KPI that displays the projected revenue that APS has planned for the specified time period, and across time periods.
- For example, some companies schedule production based on projected revenue completing per week/month to ensure the company is meeting the weekly/monthly revenue targets.
- In this case, a production planner would want to see the projected revenue amounts for the month of September, and each week in the month of September (i.e., weeks 36, 37, 38, and 39 of the year (9/2-9/8, 9/9-9/15, 9/16-9/22, and 9/23-9/29, respectively)).
- If the company is supposed to complete and ship $2M each week (or $8M total in September), the production planner will want to know how much projected revenue is shipping during each of those weeks, what the demands are that make up that revenue, if any of those demands are projecting late, and why those demands are projecting late, so that they can determine how to course correct and bring revenue back on target.
- We're not sure yet what will be included in the six (or more) tile cards in the upper right hand corner of the hub form, or what the related grid (below the tile cards) will display.
- We're not sure yet what related links and/or quick creates we'll populate above the tile cards in the upper right of the form.
