Process Flow

I know that there is another discussion group for the technical aspects of process flow, but my question relates to other Purchasing/Procurement users.

We are going to be undertaking the task of rewriting our process flow. Over the years, it has become (what I believe) overly burdensome and not easily revised based on changes is roles and hierarchy. From the perspective of Purchasing, I would like to reduce (to the degree possible) the number of stops that a requisition makes prior to final approval.

With that in mind, do any of you have a process flow model that you you really like? If so, I would love to receive.
