Multiple Actions within the same time period
We use Talent Management (10.0.2) and S3 (9.0.1). We have recently implemented Merit Increases using the Compensation module within TM. We are running into issues with multiple "actions" happening on the same (or close to the same) date and the interface to S3. For example, a future dated transfer action is approved for a department change on 9/15 with an effective date of 9/27. On 9/18, we process a merit increase eff 9/13. Both actions create an interface record over to S3. The merit increase gets processed first with an effective date of 9/13, but when the department change action is processed on 9/27, the employees pay rate is changed back to their old rate, because that was the rate at the time the department change action was approved.
Does anyone else have similar issues? Have you come up with a process to better handle these issues? We are thinking of putting very strict timimg restrictions on when actions can be approved and for what effective dates (not too early, and not too late). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
