MelissaData connection reset error after disabling SSLv3

Lately MelissaData has disabled SSLv3 and required TLS to address the POODLE vulnerability issue. Ever since they made this change, our production and test environments start to get connection reset error when the processflow web service node connects to melissadata for address verification. Just wondering whether anyone else here has also encountered the same problem.

Hello,

We are in the process of doing the same thing: Disable SSLv3 and use TLS. Did you install A fix JT-657986 for the following releases of LSF: 9.0.1.12, 9.0.1.13, 10.0.3, 10.0.4, 10.0.5, 10.0.6? Infor gave us this JT to do prior to going with TLS.

Since we are not there yet, I'm very curious if others have done this and the potential issues which come with this?

Thanks for the information. We did install that patch but that didn't help resolve the problem we have. When you said to disable SSLv3 and use TLS, what exactly are you going to do? Just curious. Thanks.

Let me check with my Infrastructure folks and let you know. It is scheduled to be done, but so far they haven't told us the details.

I can't speak to Melissadata but we are 9.0.1.13/iSeries and have applied the JT and continue to have problems with all data queries and transaction calls when the TLS is enabled. Hoping that Infor can find a solution for me.

I understand disabling SSLv3 to be done with a registry key change in KEY: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSecurityProvidersSCHANNELProtocolsSSL3.0Server.

We use AIX and we followed the following IBM article to disable SSL. Still got the same error.
