CS0976034 – original case - Period Of Performance issue with project contracts not allowing adjustments after the project ends
We have setup a large amount of our grants as “contracts”. We had thought the period of performance could be updated when adjustments needed to be made to a project after the contract period has ended. This is a very common occurrence. The only way right now to create an invoice or process an adjustment is to change the end date of the project. This will cause issues with our auditors if they see our end dates are not consistent with the end dates in the award letters.
We were recently informed by Infor Support that the period of performance is built to allow transactional data entry outside the projects date range and applies to the posting projects dates only not contracts. To have development consider allowing period of performance to apply to contract projects, that would require pursuing an enhancement request. We opened an enhancement request with #119905.
