Stream OE and PO Documents to an FTP Host

I have an FTP host setup to receive files and I would like to stream the OE and PO documents produced by Cloudsuite Distribution SX to it. Is there a way to accomplish this without having to also have a Data Lake activity associated with it. When I try to create a Data Flow for it, it seems to require that the Data Lake also ingests it. Alternatively, if I use the existing Data Lake ingestion flow and create a parallel branch, is there a way to filter it so that only OE and PO documents hit the ftp file host. I'm good with the datalake ingesting everything, but I only want the FTP server to receive OE and PO docs.

Hi Daniel. what are "…OE and PO documents produced by…" ?

Are they PDFs or XML BODs or something else?

In general a data flow would be the answer, any document introduced into ION can have a flow(s) , one of which could send to sFTP site.
If you want to send to a FTP site (not sFTP/FTPs) , then you would need a Enterprise connector at that site.

Thanks, I'm interested in grabbing the JSON document that SXe sends to the datalake and also sending it to my ftp source, but only for OE and PO documents.

You should be able to create a Data Flow, using the 'dc' Connection Point and listen for those objects. You will need to be careful about this in the future, when CSD adopts the streamining service.

"if I use the existing Data Lake ingestion flow and create a parallel branch" - I would suggest against hi-jacking the CSD IMS Connection Points and Data Flow, designed for ingesting into Data Lake, to reroute the incoming data to another connection point, e.g. File Location.

As Brandon pointed out, when an Infor Applications supports using the Data Fabric Ingestion Services, the IMS Connection Points will no longer receive data if you the application is directly replicating to Data Fabric and not through ION Data Flows.

The best practice is to let the data be ingested in Data Lake with the Application provisioned data flows, and create a new Data Flow that retrieves only the object that you need from the Data Lake and sends them to your file location.

You can select which objects you want to retrieve in the Documents tab in the Retrieve from Data Lake Activity:
