Job Log in LSO does not contain info we saw in Portal

Please forgive the cross-post but no-one has replied to my post in the LSO community.

We are just now rolling out LSO and I have discovered an issue that I'm
hoping someone on this community can help us with. We have a ton of
scheduled jobs that we have created via Unix Shell Scripting. Before and
after each program in the script (We us SQL and SQR and Perl for our
programming of reports) we log the time and several of the programs
write messages to the stdout. In Portal we see these messages in the job
log, but in LSO we only see the message: Details about this error can be
found in the log file. Wouldn't you know it ... that message IS IN the log
file. I sent a code snippet to xtreme support with the output from both
Portal and LSO but they said that they do not support custom
programming. So has anyone created recurring jobs with data being
written to standard out that actually show these messages in the LSO job
log? I have attached a few snapshots. Thanks in advance for any
help/insight you can provide.
