Oracle to SQL - CTP's

We are currently running Lawson v901 on Oracle database but in the process of working on our Lawson v10 upgrade and migrating to SQL database. In keeping both environments/apps in sync with patching, I noticed a big difference in processing time with installing CTP's on v901/Oracle versus v10/SQL. In speaking with our SQL DBA, he said we have full logging turned on on our database. Wondering what others do that are on SQL - do you have full logging turned on our bulk logging? And do you make any modifications to the logging process when installing CTP patches? I am preparing to install the CTP's for Affordable Care Act that reorg our PRTIME table which contains millions of records. Reluctant to kick it off because of the slowness that I encountered on a CTP install that involved very little patching (Oracle too 4 minutes; SQL took 14 minutes)
