Multiple employee E-mail addresses in Lawson HR 9.0.1

I have been tasked with loading two E-mail addresses for each employee on HR11. We are on version 9.0.1, so we do not have two E-mail address fields. We will be using the E-mail address field on HR for the employees personal E-mail address; and they will be able to update through Employee Self Service. We also want to store their work E-mail address.

I am looking into storing in another field that we do not use, but was wondering what fields other companies were using.

Unforunately, their arn't any other fields in the HR suite that have a 60 character length. There are a few fields in the OSHA forms that are 50 but that doesn't work. Technically speaking the Applicant email on PA31 is 60 characters but that just updates the HR11 email field when the app is hired.

Even if you find another field, say User Fields, to hold an email address, you should consider the impact on related S3 and third-party software. For example, Process Flow (Automation), security feeds into LBI, Crystal Reports and MHC (DSS). In the case of DSS, a user can enter their personal email when opting in to email delivery.

Can you store the work email in the LSF security record? There is a field for email address. Might be a little more difficult to retrieve depending on how you plan to use it.

We used "Address 4" to store personal email address. We modified the ESS/Home Address form so employees see "Home Email" instead of the Address 4 Label. It's only 30 characters but it seems to be working for us at the moment.

We have a similar need and have chosen to use HR20. We use HR11 for work email. On HR20 we have created a "type" of Personal Email and where we'd normally enter the phone number we write "see below".
In the "comment" field we enter the personal email.

This does nothing for process flow but it is a temporary fix. I think we all need to request an enhancement of a 2nd email address, even if just on HR20. Crazy that it doesn't exist yet.

A Personal Email address was added to the 10.0.x application. It's on the Address tab on HR11.

We also use HR20 on 9.0.1. We have the type as "Personal Email" and then enter a "0" in the phone number field. List the email address in the comments line for that line.

Version 10 does have the 2nd email field on HR11 -
