Taxes and some history not created

We are experiencing intermittent cases where an employee has been added via HR11 and taxes are not created for the employee. When that occurs, the employee is also missing some key history records like salary history.

The person doing the data entry does wait for all the "add" screens to complete and when the final PR13.2 appears - taxes are not there.

Has anyone else encountered this issue and how did you fix it?

We have only experienced this problem when an employee give us an out of state address. We resolved this using the hospital address as primary and out of state address as secondary until they can give us a new address.

When this occassionally happens I go into PR14 and manually add the tax codes.

Because of the absence of history, we delete the newly added employee and re-add with the same info. At that point all taxes etc are created.

We have many employees who live outside our business state.

Thanks for responding. That is an interesting thing for us to look at to see if there is a correlation.

Unfortuneately, we can't reproduce at will so I haven't opened a CASE.

We experience the same situation but we enter our new hires via PA52.4/PA52.1 and they have in-state addresses. We have not been able to identify a common denominator. We can go several weeks with no issues and then have a couple that don't work correctly. We have not been able to reproduce the issue in our test environment either.

Our work around is to check tax deductions for all new hires. If deductions were not created we use PR13.8 to update taxes; this creates the missing deduction codes.

What version of apps is this occuring on? We have not experienced this on 9.0.1.5 and 9.0.1.9.

We have done that (PR13.8) when it has been discovered too late and we can't delete and re-add the employee.

Do you have salary history, etc when this happens?

I am not aware of any missing salary history with this scenario. I will make a point of looking at that if/when this happens again.

We are are 9.0.1.6.
